Gwen Porte The Nana Balzac Paris skirt
So Gwen, in a few words or even a few lines, can you tell us more about you?
I'm gwendoline, I'm 25 years old. Originally from Lille, I have been a Parisian adoption for 3 years. 3 years that I have devoted to one of my passions digital, working for different ready-to-wear brands. I would define myself as an addict to trends whether in fashion, decoration or food! Eager for new things, I like pretty meetings and discoveries! Generation Y, I assume my "geek" side and can spend hours on Intagram and Pinterest to discover new universes. I am also very sensitive to art.
How do you define Balzac Paris?
I define Balzac Paris as a cloakroom consisting of timeless essential: both chic and comfortable, day and evening, basics colors as exclusive prints. A brand anxious to offer know-how and quality products responding to the very chic “Made in France” label.
Your style is well defined, a bit pointed we feel eager for new things and trends. How do you describe it?
I am dressed in odds and ends found right to left. I can very well wear pants at 9.90 € Gathered at H&M with a mesh purchased in thrift stores and a scratched jacket. In fact, perhaps my style is not "a particular" style but rather a mixture of all styles ... I work at the crush. I happen to have real obsessions and until I find the ideal piece, I only think about it! I like to shift styles, surprise with a room, a color, divert a basic. In my opinion fashion is a game to never take seriously!
In what does you work everywhere work?
Back to basic: jeans (I like those from Acne), Boyish shirt, white t-shirts and good old sneakers. I like to be comfortable in my clothes. I can't stand feel disguised. I find that the clothes must reflect our personality.
Lille de Coeur, Parisian adoption! Give us two essential spots in these two cities?
The choice is difficult because 1000 cool spots come to my mind. In Paris, for dinner: "The Gastrotheque refine" in the 9th arrondissement. With Grego* (his lover), it has become our canteen. We love to navigate to chat, have an aperitif and taste their delicious little plates. The second essential spot in the capital, in my opinion, is the concept store thank you! Beautiful, good and good ... I could stroll there for hours.
In Lille, I like to go to St Sauveur station. An old disused station where we find ourselves there to party, have a drink, go see an exhibition, listen to a concert ... There is always something about St So! For my second spot I would tend to say: at home, in the sisters, the friends. I like to return to Lille to make a break with Parisian bustle and return to the sources.
You don't resist ...?
A mega cheese tray accompanied by a good glass of red wine.
I'm going to need good books, what do you advise me to read?
This summer I left for a week in Croatia. I loved my trip and I think the book The "Women's Choir" contributed to my happiness. A funny book, full of emotions and a lot of humanity!
Finally, what is your leitmotif?
Feet on the ground, head in the stars.
Thank you Gwen ***
