Secrets of manufacture of the LAël necklace

At Balzac Paris, we attach particular importance to crafts and are proud to share with you behind the scenes and the history of manufacturing our products, which are part of our T.P.R approach (always more responsible). Today, Maria, an accessories stylist, returns to the history of manufacture of Laël: a necklace like no other. Why is the Laël necklace different from others? I have been working on this creation for many months. All this started from a crazy bet ... that of creating a jewel around a natural flower. Where did this "crazy bet" come from? At Balzac Paris, flowers are very present and are a daily source of inspiration. Even on jewelry, flowers often find their place. This time, we wanted to go even further in our reflection and get closer to nature. How did he become real? It was not done in a snap of the fingers ... We took the time to test different components before finding the one who could keep a dried flower. And it was natural resin that met all of our expectations. It was then necessary to give him the life of a real gem and it was again a hell of test tests. So we worked hand in hand with our Italian manufacturer to seek very specific artisanal know-how. That's the case to say ! And where did you find this know-how? At an Italian craftsman who tested this technique and then made each medallion by hand, one by one. Each flower is cut carefully, it is then molded in natural resin. Once the molding is finished, the medallions are painted by hand. A real ant work! What do you like the most in this medallion? Its singularity, we have combined several techniques that I like to work: crafts and jewelry, and because no medallion is alike, each piece is unique. Something increasingly rare ... I also liked our manufacturer to follow us in this project, that he believes in it with us and the result is as we hoped. To get these little wonders, it is here and here
